Oh, sweet William, you are truly amazing. He has a constant sense of curiosity and boyish charm that makes my heart melt. He is currently into EVERYTHING and he isn't even walking yet! Scary to think what will happen when those orthodics come in ;)
Today we met with William's new nutritionist/dietitian and she is a welcome addition! (Tara, William's first nutritionist/dietitian left First Steps a few months ago and we've been working with another nutritionist/dietitian who didn't really meet William's needs) William has basically remained steady in the weight department for the past few months. We thought he might have gained a little, but after being sick this week, it appears he is steady/slight loss. Based on the growth chart, he is the size of a 9 month old baby! Some of his size is based on genetics, but a lot of it is based on not meeting his nutritional needs through his diet. Nancy had a lot of great advice, and we hope to try a new pediatric supplement tomorrow! Between that and William's new-found love for food that we all eat (cheese!!!, veggies, fruit, rice, yogurt) we hope he will start to gain more weight. Although, William being William - he doesn't let any of this slow him down!
He is talking a lot more - it seems like he talks more than a lot of boys at his age - it must be all the talking he hears at home :) He says the typical words - dada, mama, "mor" (more) - and is starting to say "buu" (book), that, i want that (!), "nona" (Norah), "bu" (Bella)...it seems Brian will likely be the quietest person in our home!

| William's kissy face! How adorable is this?! |
My Bella baby is honestly quite beautiful with her large brown almondy eyes...which is a good thing because my love, you are trying at times! I have a feeling it is because you are a lot like me when I was your age...something about apples and trees? :)
Bella is doing so incredibly well in dance class, it seems dancing is in her blood - she shines out there! She is already excited about doing dance in the fall and loves watching the big girls practice for the summer recital. You can tell her feet are itching to dance when she watches them, but she stands patiently in the doorway with her sister and the other little girls just watching...and dreaming.
There are many times it is hard to remember that Bella is only 3 years old. So much of what she says and talks about could come from an older child. She has also taken a huge liking to helping cook in the kitchen - she rocks at cracking eggs! Quite a large feat for such a small child.

There is something about your first born child that always reminds you of the night you had her and of walking around their nursery with her in your arms for the first time. I love that I can still see so much child innocence in Norah even though she tries so hard to be a big girl. (Yes, I know she is only 5, but if you have a 5 year old; you understand!)
Norah is an amazing big sister to both Bella and William. I love hearing her say "...my sister this and my sister that" she is honestly Bella's best friend and that makes me smile. She loves to carry William around and pull him in a little wagon. He adores her in a way only a little brother can...so much love.
Norah took swimming classes this summer and today was the last day. My heart swelled with pride when I saw her jump right into the pool and swim over to her teacher. So much confidence - and it's only been 2 weeks! She's always been a little water baby, and I see that is sticking. :)
This year, she starts Kindergarten. I am so proud of her and am so sad at the same time. It's the start of so many big things and it makes you realize how big she is getting. She will always be my little baby Norah!
